Malcolm Jones was born on August 30th, 1951. His qualifications include Army Musician First Class, and B.A. Hons. Band Studies (Sheffield University). He has worked as Principal Euphonium, Regimental Band, Her Majesty’s Welsh Guards (7 years); Lead Trombone, Ray Shields and Herb Miller Orchestras; Bandleader and Lead Trombone Tuxedo Junction Jazz Big Band. Performer, Teacher and Conductor of Music for over 20 years, and Arranger and Composer. Malcolm Jones writes: It was while studying composition under Arthur Butterworth that I discovered my ability and love of composition. It had long been a dream of mine to compose music for film, I prefer to write music for film as I am inspired by the image/mood of a film, with very varied musical outcomes.
